Mental Health Matters

Athletes Seminar

**One of the biggest barriers to Student Athletes seeking Mental Health support is their lack of knowledge.**

1) Age appropriate information of common issues athletes struggle with to include corresponding signs & symptoms they should look for in themselves or their teammates.

2) Review college athletic expectations, exposing them to the day in the life of a collegiate athlete

3) Introduce - What does seeking help look like? Destigmatize help-seeking behavior.

Offer Webinar Presentation geared for your athletes, followed by discussion.

“Our Team came away with many resources to help them start the conversation about mental health. Parents of young/college athletes and students should look into the work she is doing to help young people at this time”
